This morning saw team TRACE attend the Company Fashion Breakfast at HIX over bacon butties for a debate on ‘the blog’.

Company magazine Editor Victoria White, Company magazines’ Web Assistant and blogger Gemma, 5inchandup blogger Sandra and Company Associate Editor Oonagh Brennan discussed the rise of ‘peer-to-peer fashpiration’ (aka street style crushes!) and how magazines and bloggers work together as new media. As we munched on broad beans on toast, and drank tea we couldn’t help but wonder the effects blogging has on magazines; which do you prefer? Here at TRACE there will always be a place in our hearts for magazines, nothing beats sitting with your favourite title and enjoying page by page, but we can’t help but take time to snoop out the latest blogger, (with 5inchandup being one to keep your eye on) for reactive trend updates and inspiration.
